OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

United Therapy Associates, P.A.

Our comprehensive occupational therapy services will help to maximize the individual level of iStock_000003227035Small.jpgsafety and independence while increasing strength, endurance, and preventing deformity. Our occupational therapists consider physical, psychological, and social factors than can influence illness and disability.

Our occupational therapists care for patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors, who have health-related conditions or other medical problems that may limit their ability to perform activities in their daily lives or limit their independence. By carefully assessing your unique condition, we are able to create an effective course of therapy as individual as you.

Occupational therapists get patients back to work, but they also customize treatment programs to help with the “everyday things” like learning to bathe, dress or feed after a stroke or rehabilitating your shoulder after a rotator cuff surgery.

Testing strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, manual dexterity, muscle tone, and sensation help the therapist to determine an individualized treatment program.
